The opportunity:

Our client, a professional services firm specialising in real estate and private equity fund administration, is looking for an Accounting Manager based in Southampton, UK.

About You:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with 1-2 years PQE / At least 10 years proven experience at FA level (if not qualified).
• Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in UK GAAP, IFRS, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficient in written communication, problem-solving, and presenting information, with excellent interpersonal and management skills.
• Deep understanding of private equity and real estate agreements, with the ability to lead, mentor, and manage staff effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and strengthen client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact with regular in-person meetings.
• Take ownership of client portfolios, implementing essential procedures amid overseeing financial reporting.
• Contribute to team planning, training colleagues, and collaborating with other senior members efficiently.
• Meet regulatory and statutory reporting deadlines, facilitate recruitment processes, draft internal documents, and contribute to the company profile.
• Serve as the primary contact for team inquiries and oversee the day-to-day workload, including delegation and resource management.
