Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, supporting the month end processes, regulatory returns, and internal reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Working under different accounting regimes: IFRS, FRS101, Solvency II / MVBS
• Maintaining general ledger and investment sub-ledgers (SAP based)
• Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Supporting the year-end external audit by responding to auditors' requests for information and documentation, providing input to and reviewing the Company's Financial Statements;
• Supporting Solvency II regulatory reporting (input, review, testing of QRTs)
• Supporting and delivering on internal audit requests

Key Skills/Experience

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Relevant working experience (2+ years post qualification) in the financial services sector - preference given to Big 4 audit firms and/or (re-)insurance
• Previous knowledge of investment accounting
• Previous knowledge of SAP (in particular SAP IMA) favoured
• Previous knowledge of Solvency II strongly preferred
