An exciting Head of Compliance opportunity with a prestigious company!

This a this newly created role reporting into the SMF16, If you are an experienced Compliance Leader with operational and strategic experience, commercially minded with a pragmatic approach - this could be for you.

You will be responsible for managing the Compliance function and develop opportunities and requirements as a result of regulatory change, as well as in assurance operations to ensure a robust annual compliance monitoring plan that oversees the effective regulatory and compliance performance.

Responsibilities:-

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction of the Compliance function
• Lead, develop, and direct the firm's compliance strategy to manage compliance and regulatory risks
• Act as a compliance subject matter expert and support the business to manage regulatory risk associated with both current and proposed business activities
• Develop, maintain, and advise on a framework of Compliance policies, procedures, and controls for assessing and monitoring compliance risk
• Oversee and direct the development and deployment of a robust compliance monitoring plan to ensure ongoing compliance reviews of core business activities and functions

Experience:-

• A compliance professional with experience and knowledge of both developing and implementing effective compliance strategy, oversight, and advisory approaches
• Experience of managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels including Executive board level
• A confident communicator with proven ability to analyse operations and identify significant risks,
• Awareness of the role of the FCA / PRA and their current and future sector priorities
• Held a Head of Compliance role within the Banking or Consumer Credit sector
