Job description

Our client is a Multi-National Fund Administration company searching for Junior Compliance officer to join their industry leading team in Luxembourg .

Requirements

* Essential

+ Desirable

Qualifications

* Degree level or higher education with relevant financial services / regulatory experience in a Compliance environment

+ A compliance/AML certification would be an asset

Experience

* Minimum 2 years Compliance or related Risk and control experience

+ Experience in the Luxembourg fund service sector is an asset

Knowledge

* Understanding and knowledge of current industry legislation, regulation and working practices particularly in respect to regulatory matters

+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills is a bonus

* Strong communication skills, both written and spoken (primary language English) with relevant internal stakeholders on compliance / regulatory risk / data protection standards

Responsibilities

Your role may include, but will not be limited to, the following tasks. The list is not exhaustive and may be amended from time to time:

Operational

  • Participate in the ongoing review of the internal policies and procedures
  • Supporting and performing due diligences on clients / their service providers / fund structures during the onboarding phase and on an ongoing basis (until such time as this activity is moved away from Compliance)
  • Preparing on-site visits and support in drafting of concise high-quality due diligence reports
  • Support and contribute to the preparation of client acceptance committees
  • Support on AML/CFT on assets
  • Support on RC mandates for investment funds
  • Participate in the ongoing compliance monitoring plan and work closely with colleagues on undertaking regular monitoring and testing, liaising with the business on identified findings
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of a regulatory watch and being ahead of upcoming regulation
  • Take ownership for the creation and ongoing maintenance of a centralised register of outsourced service providers for ManCo/AIFM
  • Work closely with the business and internal stakeholders to ensure that all requirements pertaining to outsourcing are addressed
  • Work closely with and support colleagues on the production and provision of information for internal and external audit, third parties and regulatory enquiries
  • Address questions, concerns or issues from staff, internal clients or external parties
