Broadgate are working on behalf of an international insurance company to recruit for a Risk & Controls Officer to join their growing team.

If you have experience working in audit, risk or controls, I'd love to hear from you. This is a broad role where you will gain a lot of exposure and be given the opportunity to progress within the company very quickly. This role also comes with the opportunity to regularly travel around Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute business controls review plan.
• Co-ordinate and perform on-site risk and controls reviews of insurance activities.
• Perform reviews of risk selection, underwriting, compliance, and accuracy.
• Provide central support on insurance related risk matters to local managers.
• Monitor the progress and closure of review open actions, maintain constant contact with various departments and report the status of open actions to the Risk and Business Controls Manager.
• Draft review findings, including recommendations on control improvements to ensure risks are adequately managed and comply with best practices.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Demonstrated audit or control testing experience.
• Professional experience in the area of audit is preferable, but not essential.
• Ability to analyse various sets of data and perform risk-based interpretations and selections for review purposes.
• Willingness to challenge established policies and procedures within the company at all levels.
• Experience of cross-border financial services or compliance is desired, but not essential.
