I am partnered with a exciting business based in Germany who are looking for a German speaking senior controller to join their team and be based anywhere across Germany for a fully remote position. They are a unique SAAS business who have grown rapidly and are looking to expand their finance team.

Key Reposiblities:

• Co-own monthly, quarterly and annual investor reporting
• Own all government reporting own VAT and annual report filings review and mitigate global tax risk
• Own all internal reporting conduct actual-budget analysis and provide insights to management execute sales controlling and feed compensation data to payroll
• Own accounts receivable + payable, close month end Partner with finance team to enable functioning and compliant systems Document, monitor and update accounting policies
• Improve cost structure of Inc. & GmbH to ensure consistent and insightful reporting
• Collaborate and own interface with German, US (and future) tax advisors Track and make company & team KPIs accessible to enable decision-making

Experience:

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and legislation (US + GER)
• Experience with multi-entity (US + GER) structures (this is a must)
• Good knowledge of both US + GER accounting software (this is a must)
• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Experience with cash management and risk assessment
• BSc or MSc in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred
• Experience with transfer pricing, cross-entity chargebacks and corporate tax law (this is a plus)
• Experience with Software-as-a-Service business models (this is a plus)
