Role: Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial

Location: Leeds (Hybrid)

Role Overview:

As a part of their Commercial Legal team, you'll provide legal guidance to uphold their strategy. Focus on diligent contracting to manage risks in procurement, corporate sales, and digital initiatives within the Group's businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Making a strong contribution to the development of an effective, efficient, motivated, and agile Commercial Legal team.
• Advise on contracts, risk management, and compliance.
• Collaborate on tender processes and corporate sales.
• Develop legal strategies to mitigate risks.
• Contribute to an agile Commercial Legal team.
• Coordinate external legal advice when needed.

Requirements:

• Extensive contract negotiation experience.
• Familiarity with data protection, competition, and IP law.
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
• Proven track record of adding value.
• Ability to manage risks in complex environments.
• In-house legal or autonomous work experience preferred.
• Tech agreement experience and regulatory knowledge a plus.
