Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Job Description

Our mission is to provide secure and innovative payment solutions globally. We're currently seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our executive team. As the CISO, you'll be responsible for overseeing our cybersecurity efforts, ensuring the security of sensitive financial data, and compliance with industry regulations.

Reporting To: CEO/Board of Directors

Job Summary: The CISO will lead and manage our information security program, manage risk, and maintain data integrity and availability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to develop and implement security policies, stay ahead of emerging threats, and safeguard our payment systems and customer information.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Security Strategy: Develop and implement a cybersecurity strategy aligned with company goals and regulations.
  2. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection and industry regulations.
  4. Security Policies: Develop, maintain, and oversee the implementation of security policies.
  5. Security Awareness: Promote a culture of security awareness.
  6. Incident Response: Lead the incident response team.
  7. Vendor Risk Management: Assess security risks associated with third-party vendors.
  8. Technology Oversight: Manage security technology selection and implementation.
  9. Security Audits: Plan and conduct regular security audits.
  10. Team Leadership: Manage a skilled cybersecurity team.
  11. Budget Management: Develop and manage the information security budget.
  12. Security Monitoring: Implement continuous security monitoring.
  13. Reporting: Provide regular security reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field.
  2. CISSP or equivalent certification.
