Job description

Broadgate has partnered with a multinational Tech company in the appointment of a Commercial Finance Manager. This is a newly created role to drive commercial initiatives due to the company's growth continued growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in empowering the global sales teams to secure new business while ensuring precise revenue recognition and comprehensive performance reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance of price lists, competitor tracking, and pricing management.
  • Offer commercial support for finance in tender responses, pricing inquiries, contract term preparation/review, and deal pricing.
  • Review internal accounting reports and ensure adherence to revenue recognition policies.
  • Actively manage crucial supplier relationships and associated reporting.
  • Collaborate with the team on monthly reporting aspects.
  • Aid in the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Oversee global insurance policies and contract renewals.
  • Support ongoing corporate planning and tax strategy initiatives.
  • Engage in Finance process, system, and other projects, collaborating closely with the Director of Finance & Analytics and Senior Finance Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of commercial sales contracts and revenue recognition.
  • Proficient in software pricing methodologies and financial performance analysis.
  • Versatile accounting skills covering various finance functions in a global setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration with external advisors and teams.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities, capable of proactive problem-solving.
  • Sharp analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Resourceful team player, contributing constructively to projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA,) with 5+ years PQE.
  • Senior role experience within a global accounting team supporting sales teams is essential.
  • High proficiency in ERP systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Exposure to CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) for contract and revenue data sourcing.
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation.
