Broadgate are working with a global InsureTech to recruit for a Financial Accountant to join their team.

This is a key role within the Finance Team which is responsible for the maintenance of the General Ledger, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Reporting.

There is really good exposure/visibility opportunities for this person and you will shape this role into your own as it has been newly created due to growth.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Gathering, validating and compiling quantitative and qualitative financial information from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Administration of the General Ledger, e.g. maintenance of account hierarchies, cost centre administration, reconciliation processes.
• Interpreting financial information to determine causality, significance, business impact or implications and developing advice or recommendations for approval by Finance and Company management.
• Preparation of the overall Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Reporting of all companies within the Group.
• Assist in the preparation of Quarterly and Annual Regulatory Reporting for regulated entities

Competencies

• A qualified accountant, ideally with 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong base knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS rules and regulations
• Knowledge of Solvency II reporting requirements
