Purpose of the Role As the Group Financial & Insurance Risk Specialist, oversee and challenge capital, credit, market, liquidity, and insurance risk. Lead the Group Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) in collaboration with Finance and Actuarial teams. Provide insights, advice, and constructive challenges to stakeholders at all levels.

Experience Required

  • In-depth understanding of risk and financial drivers in the life or investment sectors.
  • Extensive commercial experience in the financial services sector.
  • Multi-jurisdictional experience in a growing business.
  • Skills in communication, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Proven experience in developing and presenting Management Information reports, including involvement in the ORSA process.

Key Contributions: Line 2 Risk Oversight

  • Support Chief Risk Officer and Head of Risk in keeping Boards informed about finance and insurance risks.
  • Compliance with Risk Appetite Statements, recommending improvements.
  • Review and report on Risk Appetite Statements, proposing suitable tolerances.
  • Review strategic initiatives, reporting on risk and capital assessments to the Board.
  • Ensure the Group operates within its risk management framework.
  • Write accurate, clear, and concise reports, including the ORSA.

Key Contributions: ORSA Framework, Policy, and Report Delivery

  • Oversee the ORSA Framework, enhancing processes based on feedback.
  • Manage the timetable for delivering the ORSA report, engaging stakeholders for input.
  • Provide ongoing measurement and monitoring of the Solvency Capital Ratio.
