Head of Sustainability
Job description
Broadgate have partnered with a global, full service legal firm (£400m turnover) to recruit a Head of Sustainability. This person will have a proven track record of influencing key stakeholders to implement a more sustainable mindset. In addition, driving positive "Green" thinking across all levels of the business.
The role is based in London and paying up to £100,000.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the implementation of the company's Environmental Impact Policy.
- Guide the organisation in achieving their Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) objectives by 2030.
- Develop and implement environmental impact policies, practices, and behaviours fostering a sustainable "green" culture at all organisational levels.
- Support the organisation in comprehending the environmental challenges specific to each jurisdiction, identifying issues pertinent to employees and communities.
- Establish a comprehensive learning framework with informational resources and training programs to promote an environmental mindset throughout the company.
- Stay abreast of pertinent changes in environmental legislation and initiatives, including international regulations where applicable.
- Serve as the firm's representative on a number of global committees.
- Collaborate with Local Practice Managers (LPMs) to devise and oversee a series of initiatives propelling the organisation towards achieving our SBTi goals.
- Report to the Legal Executive Board as needed, evaluating the firm's advancements in accomplishing these goals.
