Derivatives & Hedging - Risk Advisory - Director

Dublin

A multi-national debt & derivative advisory firm, with an established client base within the following sectors: Residential, Education, Energy and utilities, Economic and social infrastructure, Transportation, Corporates & some Financial institutions, is looking for a Director to join the team & continue building the business' advisory practice.

You'd be joining an innovative & fast-growing team with expertise spanning Treasury & Derivatives, Capital Raising, Corporate Finance, Investment Management, Technology and Reporting & Valuation services.

Your role:

  • Developing and delivering broad & detailed corporate finance advice on derivatives, valuations, financing structures and acquisitions/disposals
  • Providing advice, supported (if necessary) by financial modelling, written documents, and project management
  • Developing relationships with hedge counterparties, investors & lenders on behalf of clients
  • Meet new & existing clients, understand their needs & objectives & deliver specific /expert advice to enable your clients to make informed decisions.

About you:

  • Experience within dealing/hedging advisory/corporate finance or similar role, ideally with some experience of transaction management, client engagement, and advising or lending into the Infrastructure, Energy or Utilities sectors
  • Demonstratable experience in execution of derivative transactions (IR, FX, inflation, Commods)
  • Origination experience is an distinct advantage
  • Experience in building and/or deep analysis of financial models to accurately reflect underlying documentation and deal commercials
  • Experience of using financial models to support complex financial decision making
  • Strong analytical and oral / written communication skills, with a specific ability to assimilate complex information and translate this into practical and clear advice
  • Adaptable, able to pick up new assets, sectors and products, as well as prioritising and simultaneously working on multiple transactions of differing complexity
  • Enjoys being part of a high performing team but accepts individual responsibility
