Job description
This is a rare opportunity for an interim Employment Lawyer \ Employment Legal Counsel with an international, and progressive, financial services institution.
In this fixed term contract (6-8 months) and maternity cover role you will:
- Provide widespread support and legal advice on employment law related matters
- Advise and guide the business to minimise revenue loss through unlawful activity when employees leave the organisation
- Help the business mitigate the risk of employee competition litigation when employees join the business.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualities:
- Sound technical knowledge and experience of English employment law
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building ability
- A practising lawyer (either in-house or in private practice)
- Experience of the law relating to restrictive covenants and employee competition is desirable
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- A collaborative and communicative approach
- An analytical thinker with a broad contextual understanding of the law
- The ability to be creative and generate innovative ideas.
