Job description

This is a rare opportunity for an interim Employment Lawyer \ Employment Legal Counsel with an international, and progressive, financial services institution.

In this fixed term contract (6-8 months) and maternity cover role you will:

  • Provide widespread support and legal advice on employment law related matters
  • Advise and guide the business to minimise revenue loss through unlawful activity when employees leave the organisation
  • Help the business mitigate the risk of employee competition litigation when employees join the business.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualities:

  • Sound technical knowledge and experience of English employment law
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building ability
  • A practising lawyer (either in-house or in private practice)
  • Experience of the law relating to restrictive covenants and employee competition is desirable
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • A collaborative and communicative approach
  • An analytical thinker with a broad contextual understanding of the law
  • The ability to be creative and generate innovative ideas.
