Job description

This is a unique opportunity with a highly regarded law firm for a Legal Advisor (Employee Ownership Trusts). The client is flexible on the candidates background. Lawyers,Tax professionals and Corporate Finance professionals will all be considered.

In this varied role your responsibilities will include

  • Conduct initial consultations for businesses exploring the transition to EOT ownership.
  • Prepare comprehensive feasibility analyses, outlining potential transaction structures and benefits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including:
    • SME businesses and their leadership
    • External referral sources (lawyers, accountants)
    • Professional associations and trade bodies
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to secure speaking and seminar opportunities for the firm's legal and corporate finance professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with internal colleagues to ensure seamless client experience.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum five years experience in transactional work
  • Proven track record of providing EOT services to the SME sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of business planning and transitions.
  • Strong understanding of tax implications relevant to EOT structures (advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Proactive, results-oriented approach with a strong work ethic.
