Position: Senior Financial Crime Analyst

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Based in Kings Hill (Kent) with hybrid working arrangements (1-2 days per week in the Kings Hill Office)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

We are in search of a skilled Senior Financial Crime Analyst to join our dynamic Financial Crime & Compliance team.

Responsibilities: As a Senior Financial Crime Analyst, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the first line of defence in business-as-usual activities related to financial crime risks. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a central point of reference and expert in anti-money laundering and prevention of terrorist financing across the business.
  • Providing guidance to the business on on-boarding and retaining higher-risk charity clients.
  • Handling suspicious activity reports received from the business.
  • Offering advice on payments involving sanctioned jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and restrictions.
  • Developing and maintaining relevant financial crime policies and desk procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining meaningful management information on financial crime controls.

Qualifications: This role is suitable for individuals with experience in financial crime within a banking environment, particularly in the areas mentioned above, who can significantly contribute to enhancing the financial crime control environment. Key qualifications and attributes include:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial crime regulations and a clear understanding of best practices.
  • Ability to provide pragmatic advice to the business in a clear and articulate manner.
  • Experience in assessing risks related to money laundering, fraud, sanctions, and terrorist financing, with a specific emphasis on sanctions expertise.
  • Capacity to manage a demanding workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Relevant qualification in a financial crime discipline.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within the organisation regarding financial crime controls.
