Job description

An exciting Opportunity with a Challenger bank that Broadgate have partnered with long term to support in their amazing growth. They are now looking for a Senior IT Auditor Role to help support in their digital transformation. This position reports into the IT & Change Audit Manager, crucial in company's internal audit framework. You would aim for independent, objective assessment to enhance operations as well as have a Systematic approach to evaluating risk management, control, governance effectiveness. Acts as third line of defense, ensuring controls and IT regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates on risk assessment with IT & Change Audit Manager.
  • Prioritizes risk areas, shaping audit plan for coverage and focus.
  • Conducts thorough IT audits within set timeframes.
  • Reviews practices, identifies current/potential risks, assesses existing and new controls.
  • Engages auditees, defines audit approach and scope.
  • Ensures factual accuracy and recommendations alignment.
  • Produces high-quality audit reports for review.
  • Follows up on agreed-upon actions' implementation.
  • Participates in working groups, committees, advises on controls.
  • Undertakes investigation work, ad hoc projects.
  • Contributes insights to due diligence for acquisitions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Skilled in risk assessment, data evaluation, effective communication..
  • Comprehensive understanding of company operations, regulations.
  • Aware of financial services trends, relevant legislation would be a great plus but varied REGULATED backgrounds would be considered if you have a desire to step into core Financial services
  • 2 years experience + Qualified Accountant, Auditor, IT Auditor, or Professional. (if you are not certified/ Qualified we still want to hear from you if you have 4+ years experience in Tech, IT or Cyber risk/ IT Audit/ IT Assurance/ Cyber security/ IT Infrastructure+ standards)
  • Broad IT knowledge including security, system development.
  • Understanding of Risk and security standards and frameworks (NIST)
