This is a superb opportunity to join an international brand as Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial). In this varied role you will provide strategic and operational advice within a complex organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Large scale contracts and procurement
• Drafting and negotiating a broad range of agreements including technology
• Working closely with the business to support the delivery of new propositions
• Implementing policies and processes to mitigate legal risks
• Procuring and coordinating high quality and cost effective external legal advice where appropriate
• Helping ensure the businesses name, reputation and legal rights are protected
• Helping support more junior team members
• Ensuring the business has adequate advanced notice of changes in the law

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience drafting/negotiating complex agreements
• The gravitas to support and mentor team members plus deputise for the Head of Team
• A broad understanding of commercial law
• Outstanding stakeholder management, communication and commercial awareness
• A high level of comfort making risk-based decisions
• The ability to work autonomously
