Job Description:

As a Security Engineer at our client/partner, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our payment systems and customer data. You will work closely with our security team to identify and mitigate security risks, develop and implement security protocols, and continuously improve our security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Assessment and Risk Management:

   • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate security risks.
   • Maintain an up-to-date risk management strategy to protect sensitive information and payment systems.

2. Security Architecture:

   • Design, implement, and maintain security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and identity and access management (IAM).
   • Ensure secure coding practices and work with developers to integrate security measures into applications and systems.

3. Incident Response and Recovery:

   • Develop and maintain an incident response plan to effectively address security incidents.
   • Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly, documenting the findings and implementing necessary corrective actions.

4. Security Awareness and Training:

   • Educate employees on security best practices and promote a security-conscious culture.
   • Develop and deliver security training programs to enhance the knowledge and awareness of security within the organization.

5. Compliance and Regulation:

   • Stay up-to-date with relevant security regulations and standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
   • Ensure compliance with industry-specific security requirements and maintain necessary certifications.

6. Security Monitoring and Analysis:

   • Implement and maintain security monitoring systems to detect and respond to security threats in real-time.
   • Analyze security logs and data to identify potential security incidents and trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
• Proven experience in information security, preferably in the payments industry.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, security technologies, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and security enhancements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic security landscape and stay updated with the latest threats and trends.
