Assistant company Secretary:

Financial services ~ €50,000 +

The Assistant Company Secretary will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Company Secretary and Board of Directors. This will include assisting with the preparation and organisation of board meetings and annual general meetings, maintaining statutory records, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Company Secretary in preparing for board meetings and other meetings, including preparing agendas, collating board papers and minute taking.
  • Maintain statutory books, including the register of members, directors, and secretaries.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of statutory documents, such as annual returns and confirmation statements.
  • Provide administrative support to the Company Secretary, including managing their diary and email, making travel arrangements, and processing expenses.
  • Support the company's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including monitoring changes to relevant legislation and advising on any necessary actions.
  • Liaise with other departments and external stakeholders as required.

Essential skills:

  • Part or Fully qualified (CGI / ICSA)
  • Minimum 2 years experience within a company secretarial role.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of companies Law act 2014.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
