• Head of Compliance - SMF16/17 - £90,000-£100,000

This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a new mortgage lender who are launching, and going through significant growth in 2024, Having recently achieved their licence, they are now looking forn experience compliance caniddate to take them on their journey

Working for a small firm brings different challenges, and it is vital that the successful candidate can bring a solution mindset to compliance, helping the business identify, but also overcome challenges along the way

Other key skills:

• Bring knowledgeable about the mortgages business, understanding policies & procedures attached to the industry
• This person will take on the SMF16, and 17 with almost immediate effect. so be confident that they can take this on successfully
• Have a good understanding of MCOBS, and be able to guide the business through regulatory change
• The business have just completed their license process.so the core framework is there, and policies and procedures have been written, but they all need rolling out and embedding across the firm - this person will likely want to improve elements of these to future proof the firm
• The compliance monitoring plan is also there, but this person will want to make it more fit for purpose
• No immediate management responsibility. Very likely that they will have a junior later down the line
• They need someone with good business intelligence, problem solver, broad business mind, analytical skill set, excellent communicator
