Job description

Broadgate Search are currently working with an insurance company to assist on the recruitment for an internal auditor to join the team.

This role is to support the Head of Internal Audit in providing day to day support to the Internal Audit Department. You will be responsible for examination and evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the groups governance, risk management process, systems of internal control, and the quality of performance in carrying out assigned responsibilities to achieve the organisations stated goals and objectives.

Some additional responsibilities;

  • Assist with developing, maintaining and executing a proportionate risk- based audit plan.
  • Assisting the audit department conducting internal audit work and fraud investigations as requested by Senior Management or the Audit Committee.
  • Test controls from the Financial Control framework to ensure operating and effective and re-mediate deficiencies when identified.

The ideal candidate;

  • ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA qualified
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or IIA)
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in external and internal auditing in (re)insurance or a Financial Services environment.
