This is a rare and exciting Legal Counsel opportunity with a leading global biopharmaceutical company.

In this varied role you will provide a breadth of strategic advice to support the European business and your responsibilities will include:

• Advising the business on product launches and pre-launch activities in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other EU countries
• Support the brand and marketing teams with commercialization activities
• Identify legal risks and help colleagues assess the potential impact
• Partner with the compliance function to ensure policies are adhered to and understood
• Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts including service agreements, third party vendor agreements, service agreements and consulting agreements
• Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the business and understand their strategic objectives
• Participate in special projects, cross-functional teams and committees
• Deliver relevant training where needed.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Qualification as a lawyer/solicitor
• Legal pharmaceutical experience supporting a complex business
• A broad knowledge of pharma regulation across Europe & the UK
• A clear understanding of product launches and the commercialisation of pharmaceutical products
• An understanding of risk mitigation and compliance
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Solid judgement alongside a high level of business acumen
• Excellent communication
• Fluent German and English.

This is an international role requiring a willingness to travel Europe wide.
